iRacing offers a great driving simulator even to those based in the UK. There is no real reason why, not only professional drivers, but also motor racing fans and hobbyists can't use the iRacing driving simulator service. Just because iRacing's permanent base is is the United States, their servers are good, fast and stable. They have recently introduced european servers based in Holland which while are not used for official races can be used for practicing and also for hosted events. What's more hosting practice events or races at iRacing is not only very straight forward, with a multitude of options to choose from, but in my opinion it's also ridiculously cheap at $1 for 2 hours, considering the quality of the service.

iRacing also offer road racing and oval racing. If you've never tried sim racing on an oval, all I can say is give it a go, you might be pleasantly suprised. iRacing have recently introduced the 2 car tango effect that allows you to team up with someone and bump draft your way forwards just like in todays Nascar races at Talladega and Daytona Super Speedways. You can gain about 15 mph in a two car tango and if you are running the top series of Nascar the engines become hot once up to temperature and cars that are in a two car tango must switch with each other to prevent each others engines overheating and eventually blowing up.
